Great Primer for the Liturgy of the Hours

At our Parish in Port Townsend, Washington, St. Mary Star of the Sea, a group of us are trying to encourage more people to explore the Liturgy of the Hours, considering that '. . . is truly the voice of the bride addressed to her bridegroom. It is the very prayer which Christ Himself, together with His Body, addresses to the Father.' We started with the choir, and it was not too surprising that only two folks had even heard of the Hours. But, the response was quite positive, and the hope is to introduce it to further groups in the future, so we look forward to purchasing more copies. It's a bargain.

The Shorter Christian Prayer breviary--simple but thorough

The Shorter Christian Prayer breviary is very convenient for those who have a busy life. I especially enjoy it for its light weight. Everything is there that you need to say the Liturgy of the Hours throughout the year. Having used both the four volume and the one volume breviaries the Simple Christian Prayer is my "go-to". Thank you Catholic Publishing Corp for providing it.
